Finding open count of a particular file

Hi,

  Is there any system call in linux to find the total
open count 
of a particular file across the system / process .

  I have seen fuser/lsof which list only the processes
using
a file. 

   Is there a way to figure out the total open count
of 
a particular file within each process, which can be
later 
added across the system ?
