candidate patch for -stable


this patch apparently fixes my issues with touchpad using Redhat 2.6.11-x kernels,
as its fixed in 2.6.12, and therefore in rawhide kernels.
I say apparently cuz I havent built it myself, and theres a bunch of patches in redhat
kernels.

With those caveats, it seems a good candidate for -stable.
