Alsa Documentation....

hi all,

I need some kinda documentation for ALSA. When I
googled all results were directed towards using ALSA
API for building sound drivers etc.. rather than on
ALSA itself. Is there any place where I can get to
know abt ALSA (its basic structure and organization)?
