Mouse driver

hi,
   i mail about ps/2 mouse driver in linux 2.4 kernel
before.For mohonlal's , in /proc/interrupts  there is
no mouse driver entry after my kernel compilation.

    so in kenrl pc_keyb.c is used for mouse and
keyboard driver in ps/2 mouse .If i disable
CONFIG_PSMOUSE during compilation and try to load the
module by insmod , is it possible to load the driver.

please any one have knowledge prior in ps/2 mouse
driver development help me.
