mouse driver

hello,

    i want to develop a mouse driver for linux2.4 on
ps/2 port. What port address i use , i disabled the
current driver by kernel compiling and uses base
address 0x60 and irq 12 but when i try to load my
driver it says invalid irq or io address.

    please help me.
