Unresolved Reference

Hi,

I have used fputs in my small code and compiled it using the gcc command 
with -c option. Also included the standard library file stdio.h in my file. 
There is no compilation errors, but with ld command i get linker errors like 
"unresolved reference to fputs". Which is the standard library to be linked 
with my code while linking?
How to resolve this error?
