i am using RH linux 7.1 ..and i had replaced kernel
from 2.4.2 to 2.4.5...everything works fine except lan card..when i boots up my
system i am getting error:
Bringing up interface
lo
[ OK ]
Bringing up interface eth0 Delaying eth0 initialization. [ FAILED ] even i had tried..

[root@localhost init.d]# ./network start Bringing up interface lo [ OK ] Bringing up interface eth0 Delaying eth0 initialization. [ FAILED ] ------------------------------------------------- i am using Realtek 8139 ethernet
card....
I think didn't compile ethernet source code..BUT i don't know where it is
and where to place compiled file....i had downloaded the kernel from kernel.org
and had followed his instructions...
Please help me urgently..
