High Resolution Ticks in linux kernel
Hi ,
Im currently writing a PCI-IDE driver module and i
want to implement all my waits/sleeps in the driver
in terms of clock ticks . The problem with this is
that the systemfrequency which i use to calculate the
ticks is defined as 100 (the HZ value defined for all
i-386 arch's clock ticks generated per sec) and with
such a low resolution i was wondering how do i pass
the no: of ticks for high resolution waits (micros and
nanosecs) to the schedule_timeout call that would
sleep for the given inteval in terms of ticks?
Pls let me know your inputs
Thanks n Regards
Vany
