have you searched deja.com?  usenet is a powerful resource.

have you read the ethernet howto?

there's a couple of reasons why that may not work.   fops table might be
different, for example.

sounds like a probing error?

sounds like a modversions problem.  check out this mailing list's archives.
we had a conversation about this about 2 weeks ago.  see if that helps.
