Re: [humorix] Duel Boot in Linux [was: Ineptitude ... ]
Jeff:
Thanks for the info. I'm not a Linux user so was unsure about it's loader. Do
you use FDISK to change between OS or does the LILO come up when you turn on
your computer and ask which OS to use? The other thing I'm interested in is hard
drive size. In Win 95 you could only go 2G. I have one 8G that has Win 98 on
it and I just installed a 20G. What I want to do is use the 20G that is in 4G
logical drives for Win and then put Linux on the 8G drive. I've been Windozed
for about 5 years now and it's eating away at my brain.... There are more
backdoors in that OS than I like to consider. So I really want a way to get on
the Internet without them... What do you think is the best place to get Linux?
Were do you get some Linux help? I've looked on the Web and it's a nightmare of
contradictions. I'm interested in perhaps writing some programs for Linux. It
will depend on the tools for it.
Thanks again.
P~
