Fear, Uncertainty, and Doubt.

It's a marketing tactic that Microsoft has used to great advantage in 
the past against a number of competitors: Novell, WordPerfect, Digital 
Research, and so on.

I'd like to make a proposal to please stick a list marker in the subject 
line of the list mail. It makes it easier for my brain to comprehend 
whether the incoming e-mail requires immediate attention or if I can 
defer it until I have more time.
