Yes, exactly :-) We don't have to write compilers, just port :-) that does
make them native.

Check out Cathedral and Bazaar paper, we are much more a cathedral right
now. that's perfectly acceptable (and in fact wanted) when you are writing
into the proof of concept. Once we've proven it. (With the three things I
previously mentioned) then we can more easily have lots of developers
contributing lots of different things. At that point, we are opening the
doors of the cathedral. for example, People will come in and sit down, they
just don't want to have to build their own chair first. When the chairs are
built, they'll sit down, and partake in the festivities. At that point,
we'll be able to start knocking down walls, letting whoever wants to, to
build onto the cathedral. Add a room here, or a new window over there,
always adding their own personal touches. When that happens, we'll be a
bazaar.
Just to clarify, There's no rule saying we can't add another builder to the
original cathedral, and the only thing that is required of that builder is
a willingness to do some part of it. :-)
I doubt that clarified anything, but hey, it was fun trying :-)
