Uh... native compilers ?
GCC sounds fine to me, it's not all that hard to port.  Porting
glibc is a hell of a job, though :)

Well, it depends on what you call 'open' or 'closed'.
I think we're open, because anybody may contribute code
(actually, we should encourage people to do so :)).
The fact that nobody actually does it is beside the
point ;)
