if people can't deal with that then screw em ;-) i mean after all you don't
hear anyone call BSD the devils os cause it's logo is a daemon ;-) i don't
think a religous jew would be offended. and if they would then they are not
very openminded and would prob just hate us cause we are not there os.

discrimination? we are not picking a religion, just a deity. we could call her
something else. mascot? spirit guide? ;-)

eris is the greek goddess of chaos. romans call her discordia, hence
discordianism. the apple comes from a greek myth. in it zeus throws a party and
does not invite eris cause she might cause trouble. she is terribly offended
and so fashions an apple with the work kallisti (actually more like korhisti
but it is not the point) which means "to the prettiest one" and rolls it into
the room. all the goddesses start arguing about who is prettiest and finally
ask zeus to settle it. zeus is no fool so he calls paris, a greek, up and asks
him to do it. each goddess offers him a reward if he chooses them and aphrodite
offers him the prettiest girl in the world so he chooses her. she makes helen
fall madly in love with him and thus the trojan war is started.

the erisian liberation front believes that this is bs and that what really
happened is that the apple was columbian gold (ie marijuania) and they all got
high by arguing so much they vibrated and lit the joint. in this version all
the gods and goddesses were arguing. they get stoned and have a bunch of
visions abotu the future through the guise of laurel and hardy. finally they
realize that good and evil are illusions and they quit the god buisness. 


heh, that wasn't that short. anyway the erisian position is one of
disobidiense, the right to say no, and anarchism.
