Re: [alliance] mascot

Hi, I have been lurking on this list for a week or two. I used to follow
Freedows. I'm a programmer, fan and OSs hobbyist (well I play with some
assembly and make 'Hello World' OSs ;). If you're talking about mascots,
I guess I'll put my two cents in.

Wasn't that one of the suggested linux mascots? It was really done well
too...too bad. You can probably search the net and come up with it. In
any case, there may be some mental impression of that image left.

Those would be good to pronounce the 'Alliance' in AllOS.

How about a Tribble...ya know from Star Trek fame. Little furry
ball-like things. I guess they don't really work together though.

If this OS is based on CORBA orb objects, what about some sort of play on
an orb? Maybe just a shiny metallic orb (maybe like in the movie
Sphere?) with AllOS accross it? Or maybe an iridescent orb like the
Salem cigarette logo. How about a translucent blueish orb with whispy
clouds in the middle (think 3D rendering).
